When I was a kid, I used to go on cruises with my family but before this December, it had been a long time since I'd been on one! For this holiday vacation, my parents, brother and boyfriend went on a cruise out of New Orleans to Cozumel, Costa Maya and Honduras! Aside from a quick drive through adventure this spring, this was my first trip to New Orleans and the city did not disappoint! Though we only had a few days there, I loved hearing jazz music on every corner and the seafood & beignets were dreamy! We especially loved the aquarium and the jazz museum!
We spent the next week on the Vision of the Seas by Royal Caribbean! It was a smaller ship but with 12 decks of restaurants and fun, we didn't miss out on anything! We spent our first sea days playing games, swimming in the pool and exploring before heading on an excursion in Cozumel to see Chichen Itza! Got to check off another wonder of the world! Score! Our next day in Costa Maya was spent biking, climbing and swimming around the coast and in the amazing cenotés! I loved it!
Our last stop was Honduras, where we got to snorkel over the clearest reef I've ever seen! I'm so bummed I didn't have my GoPro with me! After we headed back to sea to head to New Orleans, we entered a huge storm! It totally changed our trip and the ship was rocking so much, they had to empty the pools and close all of the exterior areas! It was a little disappointing at first but it honestly made for such a great adventure. We really had so much fun on this little holiday getaway and there's nothing like good times with family <3
